Folks: I only wanted to thank all of you who has answered my AV related questions (former thread and this one).
Lastly, I'm evaluating Trend Micro InterScan SuSE 6.4 version (downloadable in Trend Micro's German site, NOT in the international one :-?).
Well, according to Trend USA InterScan VirusWall for SuSE will be released Q1 2001, see http://www.antivirus.com/corporate/media/2000/pr120700.htm for details.
I think Amavis' policy (using a sendmail's "mailer" which points to the scan engine) is much better. Well, the best way would be using the libmilter API introduced in sendmail 8.10 (but it's still marked "for future rlease" - which means basically it's somewhat beta and has changed between 8.10.x and 8.11.x. IIRC Eric said in his talk it will change for 8.12 again but it should then be final ...).
