For days I have been trying to find certain software packages via the website https://software.opensuse.org/, but I keep getting the following error message: failed to allocate memory. did you try directly on build.opensuse.org? I didn't know this website. Thanks for the tip. It helps me.
Also the status page of OpenSuse is anything but good. Many services have not been updated since 2017. What 'services' are you talking about? I just received a mail announcing the latest Tumbleweed snapshot...so the 'servicesÄ are running well IMHO.
Please look at the screenshot: https://ibb.co/nrsYAz If you mouse-over the green text, you will get this information like a tooltip. Maybe I misread the message. But for me it seems that the status message was last updated at the time shown.
Why doesn't anyone care about the website? I installed Leap 15 and need some packages and wanted to see where I could find them. I can't get my computer running for days! You cant boot your computer and 'get it running' because software.opensuse.org has a problem? I dont believe that....
I'm really upset and I'm thinking about switching to another Distro. Better approach would be to ask how you can help.
BTW, I just tried s.o.o , and it worked fine for me!
Cheers Axel Thanks for the quick answer. It helped me a lot because I can install
Leap works. I need some packages which are not in the standard repos, unfortunately I don't know in which I find them. That's why I used the OpenSuse software page for searching. You helped me with the tip on the build website. By the way, here is the proof, I have had this error message for three days now. Also sometimes the error message 503 appears, that the page is being maintained. https://ibb.co/fAKGxe the missing packages and complete the installation. Sam
