Certainly I don't /want/ that, but at this stage of the game, it seems the stage is set for that to happen. So rather than push for what I want, it seems reasonable to deal with the hand that's been dealt. That doesn't mean giving up on what I want - but there is a practical reality to consider, which is if we don't adjust to cope with this new thing, this new thing will keep us from running on people's hardware, and openSUSE will cease being a choice for them. This is a case where perhaps taking a page from Microsoft's "Embrace, Extend, Extinguish" strategy might be helpful.
