DVDs are not the latest and greatest anymore... laptops are being sold without them... of the laptops I own, only one has a DVD reader... the rest... nothing. Bootable USB are the replacement.

Anyway, it was an idea... of something we could maybe use as a "cool feature" in the next release... something other distros are also starting to do by the way... Ubuntu for example has a "create a bootable USB installer" thing built into the system menu now.... we have nothing but.. "use the command line, it's easy" response :-( which is meaningless to the average user.
I would like to vote +1 for Clayton argument and thinking about create an openFATE for 11.3. It's not about the simply or easy way to do the above but LiveUSB is much needed for Netbook installation or some installation without CD/DVD. Yes, these are various others method but and integrated LiveUSB creator would give us (openSUSE) a great feature to end user. Sadly, I have nothing experience in Linux programming so I could not help much regarding the request. -- Best Regards, Masim "Vavai" Sugianto /************************************************************/ Blog (ID) : http://www.vavai.com Blog (EN) : http://www.vavai.net /************************************************************/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
