Apologies, if this is not the right list. Which one is it?
Assume you have a bug in bugzilla. The bug is in status resolved fixed, the update "has been added to maintenance queue now" and SWAMP says:
Update released for: <package>, <package>-debug, <package>-devel Products: openSUSE 11.1 (debug, i586, ppc, x86_64)
Is there a documentation for the workflow an update has to go through? And is there a way to find out where the update currently is in the workflow?
Not yet, but we plan something like that.
Or: How long will it take approx. from the SWAMP message above till the update appears in the update-repo?
You can check the -test update repo for the update to appear. Some days afterwards (usually in the next week) it will be approved for the external update repo.
The message "Update released for..." is posted by SWAMP when the update is released, and it is on it's way syncing out. On the maint:running:xxx whiteboard entry you can see that an update is being worked on, and I think chances are good that the package is already available on update-test for testing.
