[opensuse-packaging] Is there a way to find out the status of a to-be-released update package
Apologies, if this is not the right list. Which one is it? Assume you have a bug in bugzilla. The bug is in status resolved fixed, the update "has been added to maintenance queue now" and SWAMP says: Update released for: <package>, <package>-debug, <package>-devel Products: openSUSE 11.1 (debug, i586, ppc, x86_64) Is there a documentation for the workflow an update has to go through? And is there a way to find out where the update currently is in the workflow? Or: How long will it take approx. from the SWAMP message above till the update appears in the update-repo? -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Andreas Vetter Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik Fakultaet fuer Physik und Astronomie Universitaet Wuerzburg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

Not yet, but we plan something like that.

You can check the -test update repo for the update to appear. Some days afterwards (usually in the next week) it will be approved for the external update repo. Fine :-)

I completely forgot about update-test. It's not listed in mirrors.o.o - is it mirrored somewhere? But I can wait until download.o.o is working again. - Good luck with that. -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Andreas Vetter Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik Fakultaet fuer Physik und Astronomie Universitaet Wuerzburg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

The message "Update released for..." is posted by SWAMP when the update is released, and it is on it's way syncing out. On the maint:running:xxx whiteboard entry you can see that an update is being worked on, and I think chances are good that the package is already available on update-test for testing.
