After the update, the Wi Fi icon in the System tray at the bottom left appeared white and with an " ? " next to it. I later used my cellphone to share the connection via USB, but the same " ? " appeared in the Network icon.
Known problem, see http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1002517 . AIUI, it's only the icon that's wrong, the Internet connection itself should not be affected. So just ignore that for now, it should be fixed with the next updates.
I would like to solve this networking issue without installing the Gnome Desktop/Gnome Network manager cause it makes my system more "heavy" and i would like to only have KDE.
You can install NetworkManager-gnome without installing the GNOME desktop, and it should not make your system more "heavy" at all (whatever that means), it's just a small applet for the system tray (and works fine in KDE too, you just need to start "nm-applet" manually once, it is not autostarted in KDE). The necessary libraries should be installed already anyway, even on a KDE installation. There's also the text interface "nmtui" which is included in NetworkManager itself. But again, the issue should be solved with the next update, and is only cosmetical AFAIK.
