thanks everybody, it helped. I had a harddiskcrash and tried to rescue some of my adresses. The old Linux would't start any more so I installed a new disk and Suse 90. Some of the files were still on the old disk and so was the adressbook. Don't get upset about my german question, I just pressed the wrong button. I'm subscriber of kde de as well. greetings from Viersen, Germany have a lot of fun Michael Eichstädt Am Mittwoch, 19. November 2003 20:00 schrieb Daniel Eckl:
Hmmmmm, sorry, no. The addressbook which is used by kmail is the kab addressbook and this is stored in ~/.kde/share/apps/kabc/std.vcf. There is no kmail addressbock of its own.
In ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail there is nothing that looks like any kind of an addressbook.
The only thing that exists beside of the kab addressbook id the kmail address history. It's saved in ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc as the option "Recent Addresses".
