Micheal asked where the kmail adressbook is stored. /home/<user>/.kde/share/apps/kmail (that's bothe English and German :) Thierry -- Smile . . . tomorrow will be worse.
Hmmmmm, sorry, no. The addressbook which is used by kmail is the kab addressbook
and this is stored in ~/.kde/share/apps/kabc/std.vcf. There is no kmail
addressbock of its own.
In ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail there is nothing that looks like any kind of an
addressbook.
The only thing that exists beside of the kab addressbook id the kmail address
history. It's saved in ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc as the option "Recent
Addresses".

Daniel

Thank you, I did not notice the std.vcf file. However I DO have a file named addressbook (and addressbook.backup) un the kmail directory and it does contain most of my addressbook addresses - but looking at it's properties it probably is some remaining of an older kmail version. thanks everybody, it helped. I had a harddiskcrash and tried to rescue some of my adresses. The old Linux would't start any more so I installed a new disk and Suse 90. Some of the files were still on the old disk and so was the adressbook. Don't get upset about my german question, I just pressed the wrong button. I'm subscriber of kde de as well. greetings from Viersen, Germany have a lot of fun Michael Eichstädt Am Mittwoch, 19. November 2003 20:00 schrieb Daniel Eckl:

Ha/ello I'm trying to access SVG graphics within my KDE box (from SuSE 8.2). Having some SVG images, I can see them as preview (thumbnails) in konqueror, but clicking onto them doesn't give anything (unrecoognized graphic format). Of course I installed the libsvg library. How's that ? Robert
Hi Michael!
It's saved in
~/.kde/share/apps/kabc/std.vcf
For all non-german speakers: Michael was looking for the place where the default
addressbook of kab is being saved.

Daniel
