Hi fellow openSuse people,
I am trying to create a new CMake package [1] to get it updated in time for Leap 15.1. But I stumbled upon an issue with Leap 15.0 which blocks further steps. Leap 15.0. fails because of a new pie/no_pie test introduced by CMake 3.14. Yesterday I asked for help in the IRC and user krop did some tests and maybe he found a bug in Leap 15.0's GCC not respecting the pie arguments, cf. http://paste.opensuse.org/14067189 Can someone confirm this is a bug in Leap 15.0? Then I can exclude the test and wait for a fix.
After my tests from yesterday, I found https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/ show_bug.cgi?id=1096008. The fix exists but the updated package never reached SLE15 (and this directly affects the Leap package). Things started moving again this morning, the issue will hopefully be fixed soon.
