I dislike this "one mailing list per purpose" approach. One mail a day doesn't sound too hard to look out for.
Greetings, Stephan
The multiple mailing list approach was more a consideration for the fact we were often getting 2 emails a day (tumbleweed and Leap pre release), sometimes each receiving 3-8 follow up emails with users listing the various things that were broken for them. Some users would prefer to see that continue while others don't want these emails on the -factory mailing list, so the alternative to pushing people to bugzilla (what we chose for now) was moving all this to another list.
procmail/notso-smartsieve? How about adding a couple of recipes to the twiki to crib? List users that don't want to see the followup don't have to if they filter brittly on the start of "official" announcements - 'cos if the respondent is too lazy to even change the Subject line when replying they're unlikely to go to the bother of removing the "Re: " that the MUA will insert :) Daniel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
