On a fresh 42.2 install in an ipv6-only environment, my network interface does not get an address assigned on start-up. I have to do ifdown/ifup for that to work.
Maybe your sysctl configs are ignored? I have had such a problem on 42.1. My initrd contained bad sysctl.conf files and mkinitrd solved it.
Hi Rudi I think I have seen that too - I often build the initrd myself anyway, the one generated at installartion time is easily 3-4Mb too big. Anyway, the problem seems to be a delay in getting an IPv6 address because wicked is waiting to give up on dhcpv4 (I think). After a little while, IPv6 is up and running. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (18.2°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
