There is no vmware-guest-kmp-desktop package. In Tumbleweed it has been removed recently, it is no longer available. And Leap never had it. Sure, I can report in Bugzilla.
Also: can you check that the process vmtoolds is really being started (IIRC, it should have two instances running).
