bug report please.... I 'could' imagine that some kernel module is not being loaded properly (but that should not really be the case). There is no vmware-guest-kmp-desktop package. In Tumbleweed it has been removed recently, it is no longer available. And Leap never had it. Sure, I can report in Bugzilla.

That's correct - all VMWare kernel modules are since part of the kernel (with the exception of vmhgfs, which is no longer supported by VMware)
