Hi, there is something wrong in network installation, following: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Network_installation
under "Media free network installation" there is:
wget --output-document=oS-12.1.vmlinuz.install http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.1/repo/oss/boot/$(arch)/loader/...
$(arch) should be auto-replaced by i586 or x86_64
Well, here becomes i686 but on the server is i386 !
So it' no clear to me if is a bug or what..
the problem/bug is that the wiki is out of date (happens often, there are far too few involved in keeping it updated)... the page you references says near the top that it is "Tested on openSUSE 12.2" but obviously the given command line inputs to install 12.1 is not correct for either 12.2, or the newest openSUSE which is 12.3 you may fetch any variation of openSUSE 12.3 (32 bit, 64 bit, DVD, Live CD, net install, and more) from http://software.opensuse.org/ i don't know the _best_ place to report the fault...maybe bugzilla, maybe the wiki mail list, maybe the wiki forum....but, i don't know which one is best--i'm not certain which ones might be read quickly or slowly....but, i've not noticed a lot of wiki-team participation in the forum venue for a good long while.. -- dd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
