Quoting Martin Seidler
Hello,
would it make sense to include Google's SPDY module for Apache 2.2 (mod_spdy)[1][2] to be included in factory (and later openSUSE 12.2)?
Regards Martin
Martin, I did have a look at spdy during the weekend. Once the 'google build system' is understood (and also the fact that not everything is in the svn repository, but needs to be collected by the 'google crawler' called, Chromium Depot Tools, it is not all that bad anymore. There is currently a patched apache2 in home:dimstar and also a apache2-mod_spdy, which should add spdy support. By default, spdy is very defensive and needs to be enabled as a module and also using apache conf directive SpdyEnabled on; due to the 'beta stage' of the module, the default is non enabled in the upstream code base. If anybody can give this a test and see if this really works, would be great :) (beware: spdy is an extension to https only! it does not do anything on non-https sites.
