I think it's coming from preload, it tries to stat everything under the sun
If you boot with the kernel parameter "nopreload" you won't see the messages (at least I don't on my machine) - but the messages are harmless, so leaving things as they are won't hurt you. They only appear on boot when preload runs, not later.
With 'nopreload' laptop starts without problems, so messages are harmless, but something else is not.
Someone should probably add a > /dev/null to the boot.startpreload script though
Somewhere, as it is only few files that show up. Not always the all of them, but it is the same group around SuSEfirewall, some files in /var/run/, then /root/ , // . -- Regards, Rajko OpenSUSE Wiki Team: http://en.opensuse.org/Wiki_Team People of openSUSE: http://en.opensuse.org/People_of_openSUSE/About -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
