it is available in openSUSE:Factory
btw, why not just try vlc? It is available and already built for 11.2. http://download.videolan.org/pub/vlc/SuSE/11.2/
One answer for the two questions :-) I have been mostly disappointed when a new release of SuSE came out. To many problems, things that didn't work out of the box. The 11.1 for example I installed it 3 times and it went each time straight to the trash... This is why I try to help this time so when the release comes at least the things I use will work... I'm not going to use MS6 I only have it to tell you what is not working so it can be fixed. This is why I don't install vlc. The same for lame-devel. For the final release I expect it to be accessible on the media or on the repositories (which I can't access also, see the other thread).
