First just try activating compiz using radeonhd drivers, it might just work.

Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. When I try and "Enable desktop effects", I get a dialog saying my hardware isn't supported.
Try the following as normal user:
SKIP_CHECKS=yes compiz-manager --replace&
I'm guessing a segfault isn't the desired result? ;) Here is the output: ~> SKIP_CHECKS=yes compiz-manager --replace& [1] 5256 johnlange@linux-g5pm:~> which: no kwin in (/home/johnlange/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/opt/kde3/bin:/usr/lib64/jvm/jre/bin:/usr/lib/mit/bin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin) which: no fusion-icon in (/home/johnlange/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/opt/kde3/bin:/usr/lib64/jvm/jre/bin:/usr/lib/mit/bin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin) Checking for Xdmx: not present. Here is the related portion of the xorg.conf. I manually added the "DRI" option but still no luck.
I assume you restarted X after doing that.
Yes. Rebooted actually just to be sure. -- John Lange www.johnlange.ca -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
