Hello,
since beta3, I have trouble to use wireless networks with NetworkManager. Trying to configure via Yast Network Settings, there is a Warning:
This configuration is not compatible with NetworkManager. Use nm-settings applet or switch to Traditional Method with ifup.
I can configure wireless with ifup, and use kinternet, but would prefer to use NetworkManager. NetworkManager can make a cable connection with DHCP, but not via wlan.
Can anyone give me a hint, what might be wrong ?
Thanks,
Markus
Yast networkmodule broke, so the configuration does not get saved, that is why ifup doesn't work, and NM doesn't find a wave. I have it since last week on 32 bit, and since this mornings update now i notice, i just booted up, also on 64 bit... I filed a bug for it: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=440928
the strange thing is, that in my case wireless works with ifup/kinternet, and not with Networkmanager. I am on x86_64, in case that matters. Can provide more info, if necessary. Thanks, Markus
