I have never been able to get the update mechanism to work. I have seen lots of threads on this topic though. It's not that I am new to SUSE either.
I don't think it make sense to go into much detail since we are about to move to RC1. So I will ask, will I see the update zypper manager work properly with RC1 ?
sudo zypper ref ; sudo zypper dup
that does not work for you? are you sure the factory source is enabled ?

I could easily document and send screen shots etc. but thought this late in the game I would wait for RC1. However, why should anyone have to revert to the command line to get a mechanism as important as this one to work. I saw that in the exchanges several days ago. sudo zypper ref (always works and show 4 or so repositories as ok) I tried sudo zypper dup and one time I got several hours of downloads coming my way with one error message that I told it to skip. However, the icon on the bottom right is always in error mode. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
