We thought about the problem and it is obvious that we can't agree that one size fit all. By now we have this: http://en.opensuse.org http://en.opensuse.org/SUPER http://en.opensuse.org/1_CD_Install http://en.opensuse.org/MiniSUSE http://en.opensuse.org/JackLab already mentioned http://en.opensuse.org/MicroSUSE and more comming in, like: http://en.opensuse.org/Education .... PocketSUSE
PygmySUSE
PetiteSUSE
Hi Basil,
The names existed before whole hype and I'm sure that no one will change them to accommodate daily needs for appropriate naming. I guess that jdd will vote for PetiteSUSE, but that has nothing to do with a hype ;-)
I personally will keep MiniSUSE as it reflects the goal. I thought that more people with underpowered machines are present on openSUSE, but that is obviously not the case :-)
The rest of names is also pretty clear what the aim is.
I thought the discussion was about the name MicroSUSE and not MiniSUSE (I've got no hassles with MiniSUSE). For MicroSUSE I can also recommend 'BilbySUSE' - see picture: http://www.abchsn.com/aus_wildlife/bilby.html Cheers. -- In a period of great joy and pleasure you are comforted by the thought that tragedy is just around the corner. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
