Just curious: What about building PHP modules? Is PHP maintained with a stable API/ABI or should I build against the :Update repo?
It should be API and ABI compatible ( note **should** although it **may** not be..heh :P ),
;-)
but if you build PHP extensions, please drop me a note in order to add them to server:php:extensions and avoid duplicated work,
Feel free to include php5-magickwand from home:cboltz there ;-) Package status: - works on 10.2 (including latest updates) without problems - at least my customer didn't complain about any problems... - not tested on 10.3 - which is slightly different because of a patch only applied in <= 10.2 because of a too old ImageMagick Disclaimer: I can't promise to maintain the package actively because - I only need the package as "worksforme" ;-) - I already had to patch out a feature to make it 10.2-compatible. Therefore I don't want more features or a newer version...
if for some reason updates break ABI I will either fix PHP to avoid that or build the extensions against :Update repo.
Please also drop a note to this ML if this ever happens... Regards, Christian Boltz --
