Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: EagleScreen@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0 Build Identifier: If I download a .rpm package, for example to install Skype or Google Chrome, the .rmp file is open by default with Plasma Discover, but Plasma Discover is giving an error when trying to install and fails. Discover must be fixed or if not possible, .rpm files should be open with "YaST Software" by default. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Download some .rpm package, for instance: https://go.skype.com/skypeforlinux-64.rpm 2.Open such file "skypeforlinux-64.rpm" by clicking on it. 3.Discover is open and it shows you information about the application to install. 4.When you click on "Install" button, the application fails to install and give a error message. Actual Results: RPM files are open with Discover by default but Discover can't install them or has some bug for installing them. Expected Results: Discover should install .rpm applications successfully or if not possible, RPM files should be open with "YaST Software" instead. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
