Bug ID: 1089619
Summary: [doc] bash cd does not navigate the file system tree
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE Distribution
Version: Leap 42.3
Hardware: Other
OS: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Documentation
Assignee: fs@xxxxxxxx
Reporter: giecrilj@xxxxxxxxxxxx

cd does not ‘move up the file system tree’, it performs path magic.

Example: after { cd /usr/tmp/..; }, you land in /usr, not in /var .
