At first look, the only upstream commit that looks related is:
3f1e046ad3370d22d39529103667354eb50abc08 libata/sas: only set FROZEN flag if new EH is supported
But I'm not sure this tape drive is using libata.
I will look at differences between 42.2 and 42.3 next.
No, that change is in both 42.2 and 42.3. (Vince v4.2 kernel). And this, from the initial Comment#0, seems to indicate its not a bug in the driver code:
adding the following 2 lines to /etc/init.d/after.local "fixes" the problem:
modprobe -r aic7xxx modprobe aic7xxx
i.e. unloading then re-loading the driver fixes the issue? Hannes is the maintainer of aic7xxx. It looks like no changes in that driver between 42.2 and 42.3. Hannes, any ideas? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
