http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1066215 Bug ID: 1066215 Summary: zypper's se --sort-by-x feature does 1st-level sorting and randomizes 2nd-level sort Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.3 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp Assignee: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: nettezzaumanaa@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello Geeko servants, found a minor but annoying problem with zypper's feature --sort-by-x which renders this feature imho rather pointless and unusable .. When you for example se --sort-by-repo it indeed sorts by repo on 1st-level, but randomizes the list of packages on 2nd-level so final result is more messy output than before sorting :D .. Conclusion: We shall add 2nd-level sorting probably by item (package, srcpackage, application) name to be applied after --sort-by-foo .. Howto-reproduce: check the output & order of sorted packages from: zypper -vv se -is --sort-by-repo regards, d -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
