Hello Geeko servants, found a minor but annoying problem with zypper's feature --sort-by-x which renders this feature imho rather pointless and unusable .. When you for example se --sort-by-repo it indeed sorts by repo on 1st-level, but randomizes the list of packages on 2nd-level so final result is more messy output than before sorting :D .. Conclusion: We shall add 2nd-level sorting probably by item (package, srcpackage, application) name to be applied after --sort-by-foo ..
