PS. If you open a context menu with right-click from the systray icon and do not activate anything from it but just click somewhere else, sometimes the menu closes but sometimes it stays. I was not able to find out what triggers the different behaviour.
Hm, haven't noticed this yet...
If it does not close, you have to close it manually from the window list. While this is not quite the old behaviour from KDE4, I think, I still would suggest to ignore this and submit anyway as this is really minor from my point of view. The fix is a huge improvement.
Well, restoring the old behavour is next to impossible (without restoring XEmbed support in the system tray, which has been decided against years ago already). The problem is that the applications fully control the old-style "icons", the system tray has no control at all. (old-style icons are actually application windows that only get embedded into the system tray) And that won't work in Wayland anyway. xembedsniproxy is a hack (it's a proxy between the applications and the system tray) to make them display at all. But thanks for your confirmation, I'll submit an update as soon as the requests to the devel projects are accepted (they are in "waiting mode" currently until already pending changes make it into TW and 42.3). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
