Tumbleweed's kernel-default 4.7.0 does not contain support for the rpi3 at all.
There is only an unofficial Contrib image with patched kernel-default.
Not even the linux-next tree has support for the pi3's SDIO Wifi yet.
A potential patch series from Jun 22 on linux-arm-kernel list is titled
"[PATCH 0/5] mmc: bcm2835-sdhost: Add new driver for the internal SD
controller."
For 4.8-rc1 sdhci-bcm2835 has indeed been dropped in favor of sdhci-iproc, as
mentioned in the thread Alex referenced.
