http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=981028 Bug ID: 981028 Summary: Enabling VNC remote administration changes Windows Manager from kdem to twm Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: All OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: tonysu@su-networking.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Tumbleweed - 20160430 MinimalX "Desktop" (IceWM) Default installed Window Manager is kdem. After enabling "Remote Administration" using the YAST applet, the window manager is changed from kdem to twm. Resetting the windows manager to kdem using the "/etc/sysconfig editor" solves the problem. Although this was observed on "Tumbleweed - MinimalX" have not investigated whether this problem exists in other openSUSE MinimalX, but should be simple to see if the YAST code is the same for versions other than TW. Although to some this might be a superficial bug, if the User is not experienced will be met with an old-style Gnome-type Desktop without familiar Desktop objects like an application launcher with menu, application bar and more. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
