http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=917693 Bug ID: 917693 Summary: kdenetwork3-IRC-3.5.10 does not work, cannot find getopts.pl Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Hardware: x86 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: mrmazda@earthlink.net QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: anixx@opensuse.org Found By: --- Blocker: --- Open KSirc, and this is all that happens:
[21:28:01] Your perl interpreter is *really* screwed up: the getopts.pl library is not [21:28:01] even there! Have you even bothered to run 'install'?
Trying to find a fix Googling turns up things like the following:
In /pub/majordomo/majordomo-1.94.1.tgz on ftp.greatcircle.com there is no file getopts.pl (which is 'require'd in resend.)
That file should be part of your Perl installation. If it's not in the Perl library, you don't have a complete/correct Perl installation and must reinstall Perl.
Reinstalling perl didn't/doesn't help here in fresh 13.1 installation using old 11.4 /home. KSirc is useless. It worked fine in 11.4/Evergreen. # which getopts.pl which: no getopts.pl in (/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/sbin:/root/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/opt/kde3/bin) # rpm -qa | grep perl perl-5.18.1-2.1.11.i586 perl-AnyEvent-7.04-2.1.2.i586 perl-Bootloader-0.711-1.1.i586 perl-Cairo-1.103-2.1.3.i586 perl-Config-Crontab-1.33-7.1.2.noarch perl-Crypt-SmbHash-0.12-155.1.2.i586 perl-Data-Dump-1.22-2.1.2.noarch perl-Digest-MD4-1.9-2.1.4.i586 perl-Digest-SHA1-2.13-16.1.4.i586 perl-Encode-Locale-1.03-6.1.2.noarch perl-Event-1.21-2.1.2.i586 perl-Event-ExecFlow-0.64-6.3.i586 perl-Event-RPC-1.03-3.3.noarch perl-ExtUtils-Depends-0.304-13.1.2.noarch perl-ExtUtils-PkgConfig-1.14-2.1.2.noarch perl-File-Listing-6.04-6.1.2.noarch perl-Getopt-Mixed-1.11-2.1.2.noarch perl-Glib-1.301-2.1.3.i586 perl-Gtk2-1.247-2.1.3.i586 perl-Gtk2-Ex-FormFactory-0.65-7.3.i586 perl-HTML-Parser-3.69-17.1.4.i586 perl-HTML-Tagset-3.20-70.1.2.noarch perl-HTML-Tidy-1.54-4.1.2.i586 perl-HTTP-Cookies-6.01-6.1.2.noarch perl-HTTP-Daemon-6.01-6.1.2.noarch perl-HTTP-Date-6.02-6.1.2.noarch perl-HTTP-Message-6.06-2.1.2.noarch perl-HTTP-Negotiate-6.01-6.1.2.noarch perl-IO-HTML-1.00-2.1.2.noarch perl-IO-Socket-SSL-1.953-2.1.2.noarch perl-LWP-MediaTypes-6.02-6.1.2.noarch perl-LWP-Protocol-https-6.04-2.8.1.noarch perl-Net-DBus-1.0.0-7.1.2.i586 perl-Net-HTTP-6.06-2.1.2.noarch perl-Net-LibIDN-0.12-13.1.2.i586 perl-Net-SSLeay-1.55-2.2.1.i586 perl-Pango-1.224-2.1.3.i586 perl-Parse-RecDescent-1.967009-6.1.2.i586 perl-TermReadLine-Gnu-1.20-5.1.2.i586 perl-Text-Wrapper-1.04-2.1.2.noarch perl-Tie-IxHash-1.23-2.1.2.noarch perl-TimeDate-1.20-23.1.2.noarch perl-URI-1.60-6.1.2.noarch perl-WWW-RobotRules-6.02-6.1.2.noarch perl-X11-Protocol-0.56-11.1.2.i586 perl-X500-DN-0.29-105.1.2.i586 perl-XML-LibXML-2.0019-2.1.3.i586 perl-XML-NamespaceSupport-1.11-20.1.2.i586 perl-XML-Parser-2.41-20.1.2.i586 perl-XML-SAX-0.99-21.1.2.i586 perl-XML-SAX-Base-1.08-7.1.2.noarch perl-XML-SAX-Expat-0.50-2.1.2.noarch perl-XML-Simple-2.20-2.1.2.noarch perl-XML-Twig-3.44-2.1.2.noarch perl-XML-XPath-1.13-98.1.2.i586 perl-XML-XPathEngine-0.14-2.1.2.noarch perl-base-5.18.1-2.1.11.i586 perl-gettext-1.05-162.1.2.i586 perl-libintl-perl-1.20-22.1.2.i586 perl-libwww-perl-6.05-2.1.2.noarch yast2-perl-bindings-3.0.1-3.1.i586 kdenetwork3-IRC-3.5.10-156.1.i586 in 13.1 kdenetwork3-IRC-3.5.10-156.1.i586 in 13.2 same problem (different host kt880) kdenetwork3-IRC-3.5.10-156.21.i586 in TW same problem (different host kt880) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
