Robert, thank you for your clarifications.... I know this is linux and written
in C. I don't the reason why comparing a 48-bit numeric attribute (even if it's
stored a string) is case sensitive other than having completely generic code
that doesn't care about semantic differences of nodes doing strcmp everywhere.
As I said, I initially did not add these rules by hand, I prefer to use yast
network for a task like that and it didn't obtain the desired effect, I recall
it doing the same device renames with it after restarting udev. Now if that is
confirmed that may be considered a yast bug - I will test that this week some
time on the machine.
