IMHO this is more a bug in the mdadm handling as this seems to trigger the
spinup of one of the disks. Adn IMHO you should *not* remove the script as
this may introduce the risk of loosing data. The command
/sbin/mdadm --wait-clean --scan
does wait on md arrays to become clean before the final shutdown follows, from
the script:
# We need to ensure all md array with external metadata
# (e.g. IMSM) are clean before completing the shutdown.
that is you may have one disk on which one partition is used for the metadata
of your md arrays. IMHO it is better to live with a spinup that with data
loose
