- Fn + F7/F8 launch events
Meaning? It works fine?

I mean that when I press Fn + F8/F9 some event happens in /dev/input/event:

% sudo evtest
No device specified, trying to scan all of /dev/input/event*
Available devices:
/dev/input/event0: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard

Uhm ..... but if I select the ThinkPad Extra Button I do not have any record of
the event:

[I press here Fn + F8/F9 and not feedback]

- KDE doesn't show brightness bar
When trying to reduce/increase brightness via?

Via pressing the keys Fn + F[89]. I can see how the effective brightness change
if I still press the buttons, but I do not see the actual value in the
brightness bar that KDE usually present when those events happens

- Brightness level change is a non linear mode
What do you mean exactly with "non linear" ?

I need to press like 20 times Fn + F8 to decrease a bit the brightness, after
that I need to press like 18 times to see a change, after some more changes I
can see some effect after pressing 4 or 5 times Fn + F8.
