Tests.
At boot menu, choose "F2" to change Language. Select Spanish. Booter switches
to Spanish immediately in texts and keyboard. Proceeds to boot system, systems
autologins to XFCE with Spanish texts and keyboard. Log out, change language to
English in login window. Login. Language changes to English, keyboard remains
in Spanish.
That is correct behaviour.
Different test.
At boot menu, choose "F2" to change Language. Leave "English" as language, but
at the keyboard entry switch to "Spanish". The grub menu remains in English,
and the edit window accepts Spanish keyboard entries. So far, good.
However, when system proceeds with boot, language is English (correct) and
keyboard is English (incorrect).
Yast keyboard module fails to change to Spanish keyboard, either as user or as
root. It displays the selected keyboard as Spanish, but it does not work. In
fact, even the test line in yast remains with USA keyboard. Tested both as user
and as root.
XFCE setting manager keyboard module fails to activate Spanish keyboard. In
fact, entering the module shows English as the selected keyboard.
