please post the output of rpm -qi vsftpd
rpm -qi vsftpd
and systemctl status vsftpd
systemctl status vsftpd vsftpd.service - Vsftpd ftp daemon Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/vsftpd.service; enabled) Active: active (running) since Thu, 2013-03-21 17:33:24 CET; 23min ago Main PID: 640 (vsftpd) CGroup: name=systemd:/system/vsftpd.service └ 640 /usr/sbin/vsftpd /etc/vsftpd.conf

The server is running fine.. are you sure it is properly configured ? is there any other log message ?
When I open services listing in the YaST GUI and I try to start the vsftpd service, a little windows appears saying: "To start the service and activate vsftpd in runlevels 3, 5, is to start and also enable these services because it depends on them: network-remotefs."
This is a bug in the yast runlevel module do not use it..nothing to do with the service in question.
Anyway, I've tried to connect to the FTP server without success.
