regarding iso install images on usb keys: i have only very recently (recent
months) used usbkeys for installation, until before I used the iso images on
real dvd media, but all installation attempts until very recently from earlier
opensuse releases said (wiki articles I think) that the .iso image could either
be used directly to mount, to be written to both usb keys and dvd/cd media as
well.
this is the first time I hear that we are supposed to use different iso image
for usb keys.
it was very easy actually to use the opensusestudioimagewriter to write the
normal .iso files to a pendrive instead of burning a dvd/cd media.
maybe something has changed now with how the normal iso files are constructed
that they dont work on usb keys usb pendrives any more.
I am pretty sure that still beta1 or beta2 and others have worked flawlessly on
this very same pendrive of mine.
can anyone verify if the isos are really not for usbpendrives/usbkeys any more?
thanks.
