--- Comment #6 from Rainer Hurtado Navarro 2011-12-01 22:55:34 UTC ---
Hi, Yifan: Thank you for take this, and I'll explain you fully so far as I
could grasp this matter:
1. This issue happens every time and with every file. All my files are pure
text and tables, except one, which includes few images.
2. You misunderstood TWO things:
One: The recovery wizard ALWAYS appears: when LO crashed and when LO seemed to
not crash, but exited as request. Two: It seems that LO never exited well.
Some times, due to bug 731455 (my report: bug 732885), LO openly crashed, but
the times it seemed to exit normally, by my request, it never exited right:
there are the java's hs_err_pid*.log, the konsole output and the debug's warns
(SIGABRT). I have made the debug procedure thrice, because in the first run I
was noticed about the dependencies lacking. In every time the end was the same.
That is why every time I do some work, openly crashed or not, I got the
recovery wizard. When LO openly crashed, I, of course, expected its appearance,
but regretted that the recovery not recovered my file, but, in fact, loaded the
last saved copy. When I thought LO exited normally, because LO exited by my
request, I looked stupefied at the wizard, wondering why it was launched if I
previously saved my files and exited normally. As the recovered files matched
with the last saved copy, the issue was just annoying (comment 0), but I was
not particularly worried about.
My feelings changed when I began to work with many files at once, and
subsequently I got 4 or more files to recover each time I launched LO (comment
1).
I began to search hidden files related to those that were supposed to need the
recovery, and for hidden files under $HOME/.libreoffice/
Then I saw the many hs_err_pid*.log in my $HOME/<Documents>, and launched LO
from bash and later inside gdb, and realized that LO NEVER exited normally, but
ALWAYS exited abnormally coincidently with my request for it to exit.
Another matter is that the recovery, when needed, never recovers but load the
last saved copy of the file, although I have set in LO's Preferences that
recovery information be saved every 7 minutes.
3. I do not now what would be the best sample document if every document makes
LO to close SIGABRT when I request it to close.
4. I just have upgrade my desktop system from 11.2. Although my laptop system
is still 11.4.
5. I thank you.
