Dilbert,
Can you also please check with an Chromium version from Ubuntu that is more
equal to the one from openSUSE.
You indicated that the issue was found with version 9.0.598 from openSUSE,
which would mean every version before that was working. Which you confirm by
indicating that the Ubuntu version 9.0.597 doesn't have the problem.
At this moment it could have been that there is a normal bug in Chromium as of
version 9.0.598 that prevents this development kit from loading.
I will push later tonight version 10.0.651 to Contrib, but I would appreciate
it if you could test it with at least a 10.x.x version from Ubuntu.
openSUSE is following the same packaging method as Fedora is using and we are
trying to build as much as possible against system libraries to keep
compatibility between the two components. The only components that are being
stripped are O3D and ffmpeg. The last one because openSUSE is legal not allowed
to have ffmpeg sources on the OBS (which is also valid for Fedora).
Ubuntu of course if building the package with the ffmpeg library. I found a
solution by offering the ffmpeg component from packman.
