The wifi card is: 06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. Atheros AR5001X+ Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01) lspci -s 6:0 -nk 06:00.0 0200: 168c:0013 (rev 01) Subsystem: 1186:3a13 Kernel driver in use: ath5k modinfo ath5k | grep 013 alias: pci:v000010B7d00000013sv*sd*bc*sc*i*
The mapping VID:PID -> module must be unique. Your card is supported by the ath5k driver. ath9k won't drive your card. The ath9k is used for soft-mac [1] cards. Unfortunately if you want to test the latest advantages of ath9k you'll have to change the wlan card [2]. I close as INVALID but reopen if you encounter any problem with ath9k.
