After installing and configuring Xen, I attempted to boot the kernel and had the machine immediately reboot. Basically, click the Xen selection off grub, the screen goes black, cursor to upper left of screen, 1/2 second later, monitor says "no signal." After some attempts at various options (noreboot didn't help nor did attempting to activate the debugger), AFAIK, there are no messages at all. I actually pointed a video camera at the screen while it was booting and saw nothing. A this point, I decided the processor was too new for 11.1 and upgraded to 11.3. Same result. noreboot doesn't have any affect nor does acpi=off nor does nomodeset. The system is current for updates as of 30 minutes ago (14.00 CST, 15 Dec). System appears to work normally under the desktop kernel. One note, the ls -vv will show a Diamond video card. This is not the problem as I "stole" a current Nvidia card from another machine and saw the same result. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install 11.3 and Xen on specified processor. 2. Boot Xen kernel 3. Actual Results: Immediate reboot. Expected Results: System should actually boot I'm leaving the severity as normal although to me, this is serious problem. I'm now forced to keep a second machine running for the Xen instances. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
