Jiri,

By rfkill switch I assume you mean a physical switch on the laptop. I know a
lot of laptops have those. This one does not to the best of my knowledge.

(Toshiba Satellite a few years old)

The transition from state 1 to state 2 was caused just by rcnetwork down and
killall -9 wpa_supplicant

But I ran rcnetwork start several hours ago and the state is still 2.

Poking around in knetworkmanager is not changing it.

Maybe rfkill state management is flaky in the absense of a physical switch?

Greg
