I think from user point of view is the best solution have one save and have
checkboxes which says if user want to change value (could be also invisible).
And if user change value in input, then check checkbox as user want to change

I like this proposal :-)

How about not showing checkboxes but "revert" links which only appear if value
was changed ? This way, users would be able the 'cancel' the value change ?
