Yes I love the work you have done with basically adding the repository for
either ATI/NVIDA (Whichever the hardware may be) and Xserver finds the best
video driver, from the added repository with almost perfect auto selection.
I had mode difficulties in changing from a motherboard GPU to disabling it and
adding a separate PCIe Video Card. What I end up with is a possible ATI
driver(which was auto-selected for motherboard GPU, to being unable to find the
new Video Card and have any type display working. This is especially true if
the added PCIe card is a NVIDA in the example above.
I am happy for you to tell me its o.k now and a New Video Card that was
different to the installation Video card, is detected and the user can see any
image on their screen as a result of the hardware/GPU change. Especially if any
driver specific video was ever present before the change inn Video Hardware.
So if it works now - Great.
It is common place for a user to buy a new PC, only to find out their RAM is
shared with Video. So after they perform an installations and work out where
their RAM has gone, they disable on-board and add a PCIe/AGP card and have the
display work o.k
