- And another times, I can perform a search with no problems. When it finishes I close the program. But if I open the program again, it does not start (I can see an instance of "gnome-search-tool" running in background that cannot be killed (at least with "kill -9 ID"). This leads me to an unstable environment: I cannot launch any application, neither gnome-terminal, firefox, yast, control center, OOo writer... they are launched but not appearing to the user (they keep running in background) and it forces me to a "hard reset" as the system cannot shutdown (it keeps on "shutting down services...").
I'm adding more information on the above mentioned operation. Gnome-search triggers a kernel bug logged on /var/log/messages (see attached file). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
