--- Comment #15 from David Rankin
Hi,
I have the same problem on my laptop (x86), too, and also exactly since that very update to kdelibs. I wasn't too concerned, though, since the 11.0 was getting beta status and I moved over to that version. Since colleagues now have the same problem, and since an update to 11.0 is still some way to go, I would like to resolve the issue temporarily for them!
What is the easiest way to downgrade to the versions before the update? A proper zypper command would deeply appreciated!
This is one of the *only* times that using the --force option to rpm is ever justified. To downgrade kdelibs3 on openSuSE 10.3 x86_64 , simply download the following packages from http://download.opensuse.org/update/10.3/rpm/x86_64/ : 00:36 nirvana~> ls -1 linux/packages/RPMS/kdelibs3-*.rpm linux/packages/RPMS/kdelibs3-32bit-3.5.7-72.6.x86_64.rpm linux/packages/RPMS/kdelibs3-3.5.7-72.6.x86_64.rpm linux/packages/RPMS/kdelibs3-arts-3.5.7-72.6.x86_64.rpm linux/packages/RPMS/kdelibs3-default-style-32bit-3.5.7-72.6.x86_64.rpm linux/packages/RPMS/kdelibs3-default-style-3.5.7-72.6.x86_64.rpm linux/packages/RPMS/kdelibs3-devel-3.5.7-72.6.x86_64.rpm linux/packages/RPMS/kdelibs3-doc-3.5.7-72.6.x86_64.rpm Change to the directory where you have them downloaded and execute the following: rpm -Uvh --force kdelibs3*.rpm You may need to log out and then back in, but everything will be back to normal and all users will be able to log in. Hope that helps. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
