Using RC1 KDE LiveCD post install, the user experience is generally confusing
and has various bugs. The user process after the default install was:

1. User configured update applet to show available updates (expert only) +
always show detailed view.
2. User selected applet and configured preference for selected packages

Bug 1: GUI dialog appeared to crash / vanish by itself after selecting packages

Bug 2: When user attempts to redo package applet the submission of info,
resetting up repos and so forth is unnecessarily repeated again. Also, during
the selection of repos the user is shown no enabled repos even through the
previous attempt before crash has actually added and enabled user selected
repos. User can confirm this by selecting menu / computer / install software /
repository manager.

Bug 3: When user tries to install the upgrades through the update applet,
ticking select all packages then install, following root check the upgrade
fails with the error dialog shown to the user
[usr/src/packages/BUILD/kdelibs-4.0.4/kdesu/client.cpp : 196 ] no reply from

When user gives up on the applet and tries to update through menu / computer /
install software YAST2 will upgrade all packages as expected by user.
