you're right about the raw_input thing, it really doesn't make too much sense.
and you're also right about readline.readline() - that would be the proper way
to handle this, btw, full readline binding. i guess the raw_input overload is
there so that the interpreter can use readline
the readline() method of file objects, however, should -never- enter the mix.
maybe it would be better to rename it to read_line or something so that it's
not confused with readline library.
but, well, the place to complain about this is python's upstream. i can do next
to nothing about it.
