Yes, I can confirm this. After adding a 'sleep 1' in line 72 in
/etc/init.d/bluetooth the DUN daemon seems to register with the SDP server
again. I can now successfully connect my mobile phone to the internet using
bluetooth and masquerading on my DSL connection.
/etc/init.d/bluetooth
..
if [ $HCI_START = "yes" ] && [ -x "$HCI_DAEMON" ] ; then
/sbin/checkproc $HCI_DAEMON || $HCI_DAEMON $HCI_DAEMON_ARGS
echo -n " hcid"
sleep 1
fi
..
The question is: Are these race conditions fixed in Ubuntu only or is Marcel
Holtmann saying they are fixed upstream in the bluez project
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez-utils/+bug/121915) ?
